Steven P. Krakowsky was born in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1976, and earned his Juris Doctor degree (cum laude) from Southwestern University School of Law in 1980. While at Southwestern, Mr. Krakowsky was elected to serve as Executive Note and Comment Editor of the Southwestern University Law Review.
Mr. Krakowsky was admitted to the California Bar in 1980. Following a judicial clerkship with the Hon. John L. Cole, Mr. Krakowsky was recruited by the Los Angeles firm of Mitchell, Silberburg & Knupp where he worked in its litigation department. Mr. Krakowsky subsequently joined the Los Angeles firm of Wolfe & Linden, where he became a partner in its litigation department. In 1989, he opened his own practice devoted to the representation of individuals and businesses in litigation matters.
Mr. Krakowsky has extensive experience litigating a broad range of commercial disputes. Mr. Krakowsky has tried hundreds of cases to verdict, in both jury and bench trials in State and Federal Courts throughout California. He has also argued appeals in the California Courts of Appeal and in the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Krakowsky has been included in the list of Southern California Super Lawyers every year from 2009 through 2024. Only 5% of California lawyers are selected for Super Lawyers listing.
